In 2020, the Government of India embarked on an ambitious exercise of reforming the Criminal Justice System. These laws came into force on 1st July, 2024.
The Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita (BNSS) marks a significant reform in India's legal framework governing law enforcement and public security.
